Creamy Spicy Mushroom Soup

I love mushrooms and cream of mushrooms soup. I have been making it throughout the years using garlic and the herbs that complement mushrooms.

Only recently, I have added a little spice to it. What seems like a bland soup

to begin with is packed with flavour. The chilli powder, cayenne and dried chilli flakes add depth to the earthy flavours of the mushrooms. Here is how to make this simple yet delicious soup.



-Chestnut Mushrooms

-Add vegetable stock

-100ml Whipping Cream/Milk


-Chopped Garlic

-1 tsp Parsley

-1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper/Hot chilli Powder

-Dried chilli flakes



  1. Chop the mushrooms

  2. Fry in butter and garlic until sautéed

  3. Put the mushrooms into a blender (leave some of the mushrooms as they will go in the pot later)

  4. Blend until you have a paste.

  5. Scoop contents in a pot.

  6. Add 100ml of cream and 1 vegetable stock.

  7. Add parsley

  8. Add the fried mushrooms.
