I stayed over my younger sister's this weekend and I already know what the request will be...pasta. I have to admit I love pasta just for its versatility and convenience (in terms of time and cooking). Another great reason I love cooking at my sisters is that she has amazing plates and bowls which photograph beautifully.
Linguine is one of my favourite pastas just for the fact it is thin and flat. I kept it really simple this weekend by just having meatballs, mushrooms and creamy tomato sauce. The meatiness of the mushrooms goes really well with the meatballs.
In terms of the sauce, I used chopped tomatoes and double cream. Then I added garlic paste, oregano, basil and parsley. The cream neutralises the acidity of the tomato, which is great for me and the kids. Finally I garnished with parsley.
