Mushroom and Black Chopped Olives on Toast



This a great snack or quick breakfast to have if you are on the go. There is nothing like a crispy, buttery with juicy garlic mushrooms on top. I have made quite a few variations that I have posted on here previously. For the recipes click here:

However, you can add a slight Italian twist by adding black olives and basil. Green olives are another great alternative that you can use. This is great for those who keep it simple. It’s fantastic when you have the Italian seasoning and olives complementing the mushroom. Delicious.

Prep: 5 mins
Cooking time: 15-20 mins
Serves:2 people

-4 Chestnut Mushrooms (chopped into slices).

-1 Tsp of Black chopped olives

-1 Tsp Basil

-1 tsp Garlic Powder

-1 tsp Parsley

-1 knob of butter

-Salt and pepper to taste.

  1. Wash the mushrooms.

  2. Chop the mushrooms into thin slices.

  3. Add one knob of butter and fry on a medium heat.

  4. Add mushrooms and herbs to the frying pan.

  5. Add the black chopped olives.

  6. Turn the heat down low and allow the mushrooms to stew a bit.

  7. Serve on toast.
